Question Export sequence diagrams to XMI with Rhapsody

Hi!

I am presently trying to find a suitable exchange format for sequence diagrams ( XML for instance ). I am working on Rhapsody 4.1 in C++.

I know that the I-Logix Interfaces Pack allows to export class diagrams to XMI, but is it possible to export sequence diagrams to XMI? And if it is not possible, does Rhapsody 5.0 enable it?
I think that Rational Rose can do that but I only dispose of Rhapsody.

Thank you in advance.

Sarah.

The feature you are looking for is a very useful feature, as described in our thread on J2U from NASRA. Unfortunately, the UML tools industry, other than NASRA, has still never figured this out. This is one of the biggest surprises of all to me, given that Java performance analysis tools are quite popular and are strongly related in their ability to reverse-engineer and intelligently display flows from executing code.

How do you want to use the XMI information for sequence diagrams?

Actually, I need to generate C code from a sequence diagram describing a test procedure ( validation phase ).

I thought I could do that exporting the sequence diagram to XMI and then generating code from the XML file using XSLT.

I am not sure you can do that with the Rhapsody 4.1 tool... And I wonder if it is possible with Rhapsody 5.0.

Thank you for your answer.

Kenavo.
