UMT-QVT is a sourceforge.net project which provides an interesting approach to doing MDA via XSLT stylesheets.

UMT takes as input an XMI file from a UML tool and transforms it to its own, internal, simplified XMI representation, called XMI Lite. MDA transformations are then driven by XSLT stylesheets applied to XMI Lite. UMT works as a GUI that enables the user to apply the transforms conveniently.

UMT comes packaged with some interesting transforms. The one which I tried and found very powerful was the WSDL transform, which you could use as a web services (SOAP) development tool. WSDL is complex and hard to create by hand. However, being able to model in UML and then create the WSDL automatically is a big advantage. Some high-end UML tools will provide this feature themselves, but if you don't have such a tool, this is certainly a good option.

The documentation on UMT is excellent, especially for an open-source project.

For more information on XMI and XSLT, see the OBD XMI to HTML pages.
