Calculate the number of iterations

Hi all,

Could you please explain how the number of iterations are calculated? This is the review question from Bala.

1. Calculate the number of iterations required during the construction phase of an OO project for 10 developers, 4 week iteration length with a load factor = 2, given the total duration of completing all the use cases is 24 weeks. Test

a. 1
b. 2
c. 3
d. 4
e. 5

Answer: (C) - how?

Thanks,
Sunny

Question

Since I didn't get any response, here is my analysis of this question:

For 10 developers, 4 week iteration length with a load factor of 2,
effort per iteration = 10*4/2 = 20 developer-weeks

The time for all use cases = 24 weeks
# of iterations = (24/20) + 1 = 2.33 (approx)

Is the answer (C) true in this case? or is it chosen because the result is more than 2?

Please respond.

Thanks,
Sunny
