Hi,

Requirements are given. From there we generate the Use Cases and from it the Sequence diagrams (Collaboration diagrams).

Correct me if Iam wrong.

Hey Raghava Thanks 4 reply
but 1 thing
Collaboration diagrams r not sequence diagrams
sequence diagrams depict the flow
where as collaboration diagrams depict the flow and also relationship between the objects..ie..which object is called after which etc..using the numbers 1.1,1.2,1.3 etc..

These Collaboration diagrams r now called Communication diagrams
ie..
i mean to say that

collaboration diagrams = communication diagrams

bye.

Hi,

I would put the numbering simply as message ordering isn't? Now even in sequence diagrams same thing happens.

Through sequence diagrams we can know the order (thus the name sequence) in which the messages have been called (or rather should be called) and the longevity (life time) of the object. Even in text books same thing is said isn't?

Collaboration and Sequence diagrams together are called Interactive diagrams.

Bye.

Hi. In my company, sequence diagrams are used for UC realization and interface implementation. In first case, sequence diagrams are created to verify analysis model or design model consistent with use-case model. In second case, class diagrams and sequence diagrams are based on your design to implement business logic.
