Object Primer 2/e
Just wanted to point out:
1. There is a unifying case study throughout the book, in fact there is two. A running example describes a university information system, I take it from requirements to code (both Java and DDL). Furthermore, there is a bank case study for you to work on throughout the book.
2. It is one of the few books that truly goes end-to-end, covering requirements, analysis, design, coding, and testing.
3. It goes beyond the UML to include things such as business rules, change cases, UI prototyping, essential models, and data models to name a few.
Check out www.ambysoft.com/theObjectPrimer.html for more details, including a link to a white paper summarizing the modeling techniques.
The first edition was published in 1995, the second edition in 2001. A 3rd edition is currently under consideration, likely for publication in the summer of 2003. This edition will cover UML 2.0 and Agile Modeling.
