Absolute Paths

Im using XMLSpy to generate the absolute XPath of a node. When i then re-use XMLSpy to evaluate this XPath (ie go to the node specified by the XPath) It returns 2 possibilities, on two different hierarchies of the XML. I didnt think this was possible using absolute paths. Can anyone explain this?
