Smile Passed with 76%

Passed IBM 486 EXAM with 76%.

Thanks to bala, SZ, cfw and others for giving good tips & sample questions for the exam. It was bit tougher than the sample test as others mentioned.
Luckily I got a good 17" monitor in prometric tesing center so it was not difficult to browse the big diagrams.

This what I did for my test preparation.

* Read Larman & Fowler (only these two books)
* Took IBM sample test(scored 70%)
* I found the answers for other sample questions through this forum
* Visted this forum and worked out some sample questions provided by bala and others.

Planning to take IBM 157(WASD) exam next.

Thanks
Arul

Congrats Arul!

I am also thinking of writing IBM 157 but not have decided the time frame yet. Actually I think it is a good idea to start the preparation.

Bala - Have you wrote the sample test for IBM 157

I am currently working on WSAD, I have been using this tool for approximately 6 months now. Currently, I do not know about any forum for this but will definitely check.

Here is the link to the likely answers to the IBM Sample test : http://saloon.javaranch.com/cgi-bin...1&t=000118.
I have not scored more than 74% in the sample test so far.

Is there a better forum than Javaranch for this exam ?

Bala

Download the answers.zip from :

The answers are not "the" right answers for some questions. If it makes you think and if you analyze the questions and answers, it will definetely help you in the real exam.

Cheers,
Bala

Guys,

I passed today with 76% also. It is good to know that so many people are interested in learning UML.

Thanks to Bala and people post your results here. You made me confident to take the test instead of studying over and over again.

I am targeting IBM enterprise developer and I am sure I can pass 483 very soon.
