what chapters to study from larmans book

What are the main chapters to study from Larmans book for test 486?

Thanks

I would say every chapter!
At least glance through every page and understand the main points highlighted in boxes.
Also, it may help you understand the ICE sample questions .

I agree. I am going to take 486 again next year. I am going to start by just reading Larman word for word for the next 4-6 weeks.

Good Luck

Lightbulb

I just passed this exam today.

Don't get too bogged down with Larman's book you'll easily get lost in the forest.
My strategy was that: I spent 3 long consecutive days (10 hours each) , and did a quick glance of his book for every page. Try to understand his MAIN point for each section or paragraph, especially his SUGGESTION on what to do. (This information cannot be found from Fowler's book). I literally wrote all those points down in 4 pages and studied them.

Again, don't get into too much details, unless you have the luxury of time, just get the essence from his book.

Like what I posted on the other thread, my sample test was usually 70%, but I get 75% in the real exam.

The real exam is more detailed and CLEAR!
Many diagrams but they repeats in multiple questions.

...Take a deep breath...walk in the center..and GOOD LUCK!
